Thorpe Garden is a wedding venue situated just a few miles northeast of Tamworth, in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside. Set within a 3,000-acre private estate that has belonged to the Inge family since 1631, this lovely walled garden abounds with magnificent trees and beautiful flowering plants. It’s a stunning venue to get married at and I’m so happy to be a recommended supplier & I get to go back often which is fab as its just a 30 minute drive from where I live.
The weather was certainly on Beth & Tom’s side for a late September wedding and it was a bright warm day. I started the day with Beth and the girls getting ready, capturing all the excitement and details. Tom was just a short drive away so I could pop by to capture a few elements of the boys getting ready and a beer raised to start the day the right way! Back to Beth & a wonderful moment in revealing her dress to bridesmaids and dad, this is definitely one of my favourite moments on a wedding day.
A short drive later and we are at Thorpe Garden, sun shining in all its September glory and the yurt was the location of the ceremony. Confetti rained down following the ceremony and the glorious weather allowed everyone to enjoy a drinks reception in the sun. After the group photos we made use of the amazing walled garden with flowers still in bloom to capture some fun, natural, relaxed portraits full of laughter!
The wedding breakfast was in the main room just by the kitchen and you have to see the photos to understand how amazing this room is! Beth & Tom entered to huge cheers and speeches followed before the food we served. Time for a breather! The evening was incredible and we had the best sunset to work with! the flower tunnel was also lit up so we grabbed some gorgeous moments.
It was time for the cake cut and first dance with a killer dance floor and to end the night the biggest sparkler tunnel I have ever photographed! WHAT A DAY!
