Living in the beautiful town of Eccleshall it was always a goal of mine to photograph in the gorgeous Holy Trinity Church and a reception close by in the town afterwards, a wedding with a proper local affair! Well, this past June my goal was hit as suppliers from across the town came together and were involved in the wedding of Keith and Ruth who were married in the church opposite their home and a marquee party in their own garden afterwards.. It was the most perfect of wedding days!
After poor weather in the weeks leading up to the big day, it arrived with clear blue skies with warm sun shining right over Eccleshall. I arrived bright and early for some shots of of the church and garden with family already relaxing in the sun outside. Ruth and her bridal team were already getting prepped, sipping bubbly and singing along to music. It was a delight to be able to see the church they would be married in later that day from the bedroom window, tall foxgloves covering the garden, what a perfect setting.
At 12, it was a walk down the high street to the Old Smithy pub to greet the men and some snaps of Keith getting ready, enjoying a pre-wedding drink! It was an idea of theirs to get a shot of Keith (decked out in his full Navel suit complete with medals) and his groomsmen walking down the Eccleshall High Street.. well, consider that shot nailed! you can see it below in the selection of Photos!
Guests arrived from across the world filling the church as Ruth made her way across the road from their home and they were married at 2pm. It was their wish as bell ringers in the church to head on up to the top once married and ring the bells for their own wedding, naturally I followed them up and grabbed a snap or two.
The rest of the day was filled with smiles, laughter, a marquee afternoon tea and evening an evening reception BBQ courtesy of Perrys of Eccleshall. The sunset at the end of the day was the perfect ending.. another great thing about this wedding? I got to walk home afterwards! What could be better! can I do one of these every week please?!
Ruth and Keith have shared kind words with me, thank you both so much for a great day and such lovely feedback.
“James worked with Ruth and me for our wedding in June 2019. A fantastic experience and the end results were outstanding. I can not recommend him more highly.”
