Wedding photographer in Staffordshire
Sugnall and its walled garden/woods near Eccleshall in Staffordshire has always been a favourite place of mine to take a couple for their pre-wedding shoot and as a Wedding photographer in Staffordshire its great to know all the little cool places that get the best photos and Sugnall is a little hidden gem. I’m photographing Gary and Hayley’s wedding in April this year and that’s another local affair for me with the ceremony at Eccleshall church and reception close by. I just do like a wedding I can walk to from my house!
I love a pre-wedding shoot as it’s such a good chance to meet a couple before their big day and get a bit of practice in, try to put them at ease and they get to see how you work as a photographer. So many couples come to me saying either one, or both of them really don’t like having their photo taken and feel awkward in front of the camera. I pride myself on trying to relax my couples and put them totally at ease, chatting, laughing, getting some super natural shots where they both look totally at ease and in love with each other. Well Gary and Hayley really didn’t need much encouragement and were amazing to work with, which bodes extremely well for their upcoming wedding!
Perfect winter sunlight
The weather was perfect that morning with gorgeous winter sunlight peeking through the trees but all didn’t go exactly to plan! when I arrived, the gates to the garden were shut with no access to the woods at all… Uh Oh! Luckily, Gary and Hayley were very cool about this and we decided to just use the surroundings and the amazing country lanes around Sugnall and well, to use one of my phrases ‘wing it’ a little! in a word, I think we nailed it and we created a little bit of winter magic with the sunlight, rustic brick work and winding country lanes.. plus it was great to meet them both and talk a little about their upcoming wedding.
As you can see below, both Hayley and Gary were absolute naturals in front of the camera and made my job so easy! looking for your Wedding photographer in Staffordshire or thinking about a pre/post wedding shoot? Or maybe a couple shoot with no reference to a wedding whatsoever? – that’s cool too! drop me a message here
